Confluence Point at Guadalupe River Park in San Jose

These are pictures from Friday, May 19, 2006 at Confluence Point in San Jose's Guadalupe River Park. Confluence Point is where Los Gatos Creek flows into the Guadalupe River.

A 2-mile expansion of Guadalupe River Park opened in Sept 2005. I have pictures from opening celebration. The park opening coincided with completion of a flood control project. The flood diversion channels were built in tunnels first. And then the extension of the park was built on top of them.

There were very few people there at the time, probably at least partly because it had just stopped raining.

I took these pictures with a cell phone so they're a lot lower resolution than usual when I use my SLR camera.
