These are pictures of my flight from Reid-Hillview Airport in San Jose to the Mojave Air & Space Port. See my blog entry at SpaceDash about the flight. It's also my first flight as pilot to a licensed spaceport. In case anyone thinks I'm kidding about calling it a spaceport, get with the 21st century!See Stratofox's photos of the SpaceShip One space flights from 2004, or anyone else's pictures and news reports from those events. The East Kern Airport District had to get an FAA spaceport license to hold manned space launches from the airport. And they display it on their web site. And Mojave has other rocket flights occasionally. The most recent was XCOR Aerospace's first test flights of an X-Racer in late October for the Rocket Racing League (an air racing league by the founders of NASCAR and X-Prize which will use rocket planes).
