Mission to Cape Canaveral '99
Day 11 - Sunday, November 14, 1999

This was a free day in Columbia, SC after the wedding reception. In the morning, I looked around downtown Columbia at the state capitol and the University of South Carolina (USC). In the afternoon, some of my friends and I went hiking at the Congaree Swamp National Monument.

This is where the US Civil War started, with South Carolina being the first state to secede and that decision being made here.
