Apache HTTPD is the world's most popular web server software.
Developed by hundreds of volunteers around the world,
it's available for free and includes source code.
The following are my contributions to the project -
they're my showing of support for Apache.
This module provides access inside an Apache HTTPD process
to the Java Servlet engine from mod_perl,
an embedded Perl5 interpreter for Apache.
(Apache::Servlet will be included with the Apache JServ as of version 0.9.10.)
The project started here
(with a web page and mail list I maintained)
as a list for discussion and development related
to the Java software for Apache.
The project develops software such as the
Apache JServ Java servlet engine
and the
mod_jserv module which interfaces to it.
See the project home page, which is now at
http://java.apache.org/.
This is my proposal (built on contributions from others in the project as
well) for a new protocol for communication with the Apache JServ.
An Apache module to determine a file's MIME type based on its contents,
as a last resort in case its name provides no information.
(This module is now included in Apache HTTPD 1.3.)
