JP Aerospace DSS1 Trip - Day 1: Friday, May 4, 2001

Our group came in 3 vehicles from San Jose, Fremont and San Francisco on Friday. We were in camp a little before 2PM. That wasn't bad at all considering our plans were that if everything went well we "might" be in camp by 2PM. Part of the afternoon was spent setting up camp and rescuing Tim and his Jeep from the mud.

Here the crew is checking out how much the trains shake the ground after Tim and Matt told us what it was like after they went through this numerous times while waiting for us to arrive.

John Sr can be seen walking back to my truck. Dave's Durango (brown) and Tim's Jeep (white) are driving back to the path. Gary is returning on his mountain bike. While taking the photo, I'm stopped but on my bike.
